Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Archaeology Guide

One of the things that can be done in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is archaeology. Through this practice, antiques from a bygone era can be unearthed and preserved, and any hidden gems may be sold for a profit. Read on as we discuss archaeology in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life and how to do it.

Archaeology Location

In the Dig Site, which is situated in the northeastern part of the valley, archaeology can be conducted. However, you can only excavate between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm.

How the Dig Site works

Come in during business hours and speak with Carter to borrow a shovel so you can begin working in the Dig Site. The cracked areas of the ground, which are often those in the centre of the cave that are not touching the walls, can then be dug up with the shovel.

Once an area has been dug, it will appear as a hole that has been dug or as a hole with something sticking out of it. Whether or not the item is visible, you can continue digging until you find it. If the dig location illuminates and an exclamation mark appears, you have found an object. You can choose to dig up one area continually till the end of the day, or you can decide to inspect every spot and dig up those that reveal an item. You can continue digging as much as you like till the end of their operating hours because it does not deplete your stamina.

Once you’ve made the decision to call it a day, Carter will speak with you outside and allow you to take the riches you’ve discovered home, with the exception of the Stone Tablets. He will take one of the Stone Tablets from you for Flora to study if you were able to find one. Flora will share with you what she discovered from the tablet during your subsequent visit, which will typically involve information about the ancient inhabitants of the valley. One Stone Tablet may only be unearthed each year.

The Dig Site grows yearly, providing more areas for you to dig. Every year, you will be able to dig for more objects, some of which are rarer and fetch higher costs.
