One of the buildings that can be constructed on the farm in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is the Processing Room. Produce can be further processed in this area to create dairy products for a variety of applications, including butter and cheese. Continue reading to learn more about the Processing Room in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, including where to find one and how to use one.
How to get the Processing Room
In SoS: AWL, you can arrange the construction of a Processing Room by going to arrange Facilities > Processing Room in the farm’s ledger. Takakura will have to spend 150,000 G to create the building, and it will take a few days to complete. Between Takakura’s home and the Storage Shed, it will be constructed.
*There have been rumors that the construction of the Processing Room took too long. If you experience this problem, try looking for a game update because a patch was recently released to address this fault.
How to use the Processing Room
Two machines in the processing room can turn milk into two separate products: the silver machine on the right can make butter, and the yellow machine to the left can make cheese.
Bring the milk you want to process over to the room, then interact with the correct machine to get the product you want. Next, choose how much milk to carry (if you are carrying more than one), then click “OK.” The milk will then be transformed into the product of your choice by the machine practically immediately.
Cheese or Butter?
It’s crucial to be aware that different milk varieties will yield cheese and butter of varying grades, some of which are more valuable for processing into one product than the other. Despite this, there won’t be any distinction between cheese and butter based on the type of milk used to manufacture them.
Just a brief reminder that milk from Brown Cows is more suited to be made into butter while milk from Marble Cows is better suited to be made into cheese. This is due to the fact that converting the proper milk into the proper product would raise its quality by one degree, reaching the highest SS standard.
While milk from Star Cows shouldn’t be processed because their milk is worth more than its processed goods, milk from Normal Cows won’t have this effect but is still worth processing into cheese or butter to increase their selling price.
Goat milk can also be turned into goat cheese and butter, and the cost of either product is the same. Although mother’s milk can also be made into mother’s cheese and mother’s butter, young calves benefit more from feeding the milk in this manner.
See the pricing matrix for the various milk varieties as well as the various cheese and butter quality in the table below.
