Released somewhere in the upcoming year, Tales of the Shire is a new and intimate game set on the world of The Lord of the Rings. Tales of the Shire, released by Private Division, was created by Wētā Workshop, a New Zealand-based special effects and props studio that collaborated on Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. It promises to allow players live their finest Hobbit-like existence.
With its announcement yesterday, Private Division gave away very little about the game, though it did provide a teaser trailer that perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to live on The Shire. Take a look at the teaser trailer for Tales of the Shire below:
The teaser’s description on YouTube says, “A heartwarming new Lord of the Rings game by Wētā Workshop and Private Division, Tales of the Shire: Your cosy Hobbit life awaits.” “Out in 2024.”
